“Beautiful Victorian home that was decorated perfectly for the era! The family was super friendly and helpful! The children were there when we first arrived and were adorable, pleasant and so well behaved! Delicious, warm chocolate chip cookies were available when we checked in. Breakfast was really good. They served warm homemade muffins, eggs, bacon, sausage, fresh fruit, orange juice, coffee and more! We were very pleased and will definitely stay again if we are in the area. ”

“The check in process was a breeze. The property is beautiful and quiet. We had a situation arise and I contacted the host about additional people. He was fantastic and very understanding and accommodated us. Very kind person. The kids had a great time. If you're in the area, check out the Glow Haus!”

“Scenic view of verdant hills with cattle grazing. This is a homestead farm with goats, donkey and peacocks. At night when the sky is clear, you can see the bright stars in the hemisphere. It’s a country experience with a flair of Tyrol Austria.”

“We had such a fantastic time at this property. Everyone we encountered was extremely friendly (animals included), the land is gorgeous and well maintained, and the spaces were very clean especially considering that this is a farm tucked into the woods. Super easy drive from the state fair grounds. We cannot recommend this enough! ”

“We really enjoyed the peace and quiet of the cottage. You can't beat being surrounded by nature, sitting by a firepit, listening to the sounds of nature and gazing at the stars.”

“What a relaxing week we had at the cabin. It had everything we needed and although we took time to explore the beautiful area, we really enjoyed hanging out on the front porch reading and watching wildlife. We had our senior dog with us, who loved walking down to the river. Amy couldn’t have been sweeter and when we had a rain storm one evening the power went out temporarily and she was there with extra flashlights and lanterns in no time. “We are completely impressed! Great experience! Perfect get away for our family . We loved exploring the town close by ,great coffee and bakery’s ! Enjoyed the River and all the local outdoor activities offered in the area . The Dome had everything we could possibly need an added bonus was getting to order fresh homemade goods that were there when we arrived . We definitely plan to visit and stay here again in the future . ”

“Wonderful, great folks to work with, animals add to the whole experience. Close to hiking we wanted to do. Christine's food at the Cafe was great, Best French Fries ever!!. Chees burger was very tasty as well. Unbelievable weather and anyone we met at local businesses or hiking were nice and very friendly.”

“Beautiful scenery and peace of mind lots of wildlife, relaxing environment away from everyday hustle and bustle. We stayed three nights and didn't want to leave. We hope to be able to go back again every year a very special place. ”

“I cannot recommend this home enough. I spent a fantastic long weekend here escaping the city fireworks with my dog. We enjoyed the early morning walks and bird watching and relaxing by the river in the afternoon. The house is clean and spacious and the kitchen had everything I needed. I was so sad to leave, and would love to return in the future. The George Washington National Forest is stunning, and this home is the perfect way to experience all of its beauty. ”
